Millie is shortish and plumpish with brown hair and eyes. She's a bit shy and tends to try and blend into the background - until she pulls herself up and does her "I was a Goddess once and don't you forget it!" stance to make people pay attention. Which isn't terribly often. Oh yes, and she has a shadowy second pair of arms that she can make appear when she chooses - leftover from her days as the Living Asheth.
I've taken Millie from between The Lives of Christopher Chant and before Charmed Life. In other words, after she's left her world and her childhood position as the embodiment of the Goddess Asheth (thus 'The Living Asheth') and before she marries Christopher Chant. She's still in school, having adjusted somewhat to Series 12 and its rules, though they haven't quite managed to take all the tomboy out of her - nor all the arrogance that spending all of your growing up years worshipped as a goddess will leave you with - but she's cheerful, (overly) eager, (overly) curious to learn about everything, very smart, and has quite strong magical powers of her own. She's also surprisingly innocent in many areas. Amazing how little they feel it's necessary to tell you when you're supposed to be killed as soon as you reach young womanhood. Innocence, curiosity, and little or no teaching about society's rules and expectations beyond the Golden Rule, make her both vulnerable and perhaps a bit dangerous at times.
Her character is from England, in a sort of Industrial Revolution with magic period in an alternate Earth history. Anything much beyond cars and electric lighting will amaze her and she may need to experiment with it till she figures out how it works. Computers will undoubtedly fascinate her. She'll probably need several.
She ran away from her last boarding school - or two - getting herself in a great deal of trouble with her guardian, Gabriel DeWitt, the current Chrestomanci. He decided that the school in Milieux with its wide range of students might be a better choice for her and a place where she could stay without (hopefully!) getting into too much trouble. As she's independently wealthy, thanks to Mother Proudfoot managing to put 'a bit' away for her for once she stopped being the Living Asheth, money is no issue.
She has a white cat, named Proudfoot, who is an Asheth Temple cat and considered to be quite magical itself. It can understand human speech and can actually speak if it feels the need. Mostly, though, Proudfoot has been Millie's companion since she escaped the Temple and is a great source of emotional security for her.
